I actually became interested in the series after watching the short run of the television show inspired by the books. I'm now into the sixth book in this great series by James Patterson. Now that I've read the books, I'm even more impressed.Very easy to read, great character development, all around good books.
But when nothing adds up Lindsay must gather up her club and dig deeper into a few crimes that don't seem to have any connection at all. The club consists of a reporter, Cindy; an assistant D.A., Jill; a medical examiner, Claire; and the one who started the club Lindsay, an inspector for the police. In this book, someone has been murdering newly weds all over the city of San Francisco and the Bay Area. However, everything is not what it seems. In this book Patterson takes on the narrative perspective of a woman to create a page-turning opening to The Woman's Murder Club. An ending which you will never see coming. This is a thrilling book for those who like mysteries. Lindsay Boxer must figure out who did the murders before they happen again.
And the farther the club members get, the story gets more twists and page turning events until the surprise ending. James Patterson's Women's Murder Club: 1st to Die has both thrilling twists and a little love story. The Women's Murder Club is a club of four women who investigate a murder on the sideline of the police. Just when everyone is about to lose hope, the club grabs a case-breaking clue.
James Paterson makes you feel like you're right there as it's happening. Mixed in with this suspenseful murder mystery is a love story between her and her co-worker that also get assigned to the case. It;s the greatest mix of everything, and I just figured out its a series so I need to find these other books.Overall it's a great book and I REALLY recommend reading it. This book is a great suspenseful mystery. I picked up this book just because of the title and I forgot the book I was reading at home, but once I started I didn't put this book down until I finished it.Lindsay Boxer the main character is a smart, strong, and observant woman. If you don't like it than i don't know what you could possibly like because this is the best of the best.
Sincerely, fiona Eide If an individual is selling a book or other collectible they need to notify the buyer that it is NOT the publisers size copy. The are considerably smaller, print smears.I will not return them but will donate them to local libray. Also, the books did cost any less that the full-sized edition. I collect James Patterson novels, especially the ones featuring the Women's Murder Club. I order the first two books in this series (I have al the others).you cannot possibly imagine my disappointment when the books arrived (separately) and they were the size and print that are used in book clubs. I was truly disappointed and it gives me pause when I consider ordering from Amazon again.
The last 30+ chapters surprised me- every one was something new. A great start to a series. Patterson has just acquired a new mega-fan.
